My name is Mary Haber and I have a degree in graphic arts/photography. I had worked for a major telecommunication corporation in their graphic arts department during my early career years. After leaving the corporate art field to become a stay-at-home mom to 2 wonderful boys, I veered off into doing more fine art, specifically spending a large portion of my time as a muralist specializing in nature scenes. However, I found that my true love and outlet for showcasing my creativity is through photography. I create unique digital art prints using my large collection of photographs as my main source for ideas. I frequently use the popular Photoshop program to give my photos a more "painted look". I live at the Jersey Shore which is a great place for artistic inspiration and much of my work is derived from this area. We also travel quite frequently as a family and I use this time to take thousands of photos to keep on file to use for future pieces. My style is geared towards soft, serene views of everyday surroundings and showing them in a "different light". A great portion of my work involves nature in its many forms large and small; the obvious and the not so readily seen. My photographic adventures take me off the beaten track into areas of great inspiration and I try to incorporate these "many things passed by" into my work. My work is organized into more specific categories in the galleries section of my profile for easier, more precise viewing. If you would like to view my 4 books entitled "Dune", "The Real Jersey Shore", "We are Jersey Strong" and "Down the Shore at Dawn; just log onto www.blurb.com and enter the title and my name in the search.
